THE LAST FRONTIER

What is a POEM,
Does it need to rhyme?
Does it speak of existence,
relating to a time?

Is it words capturing feelings,
of time and space,
that ponder the significance,
of the human race?

Could be about anything,
I suppose,
from Love to the Stars,
or why plutonium glows.

I’ll write one right now,
about what I know,
the mystery of Life,
and where it all goes.

I don’t actually know,
what happens at last,
only experience I have,
is in the past.

To me it seems normal,
to ponder such things,
as numerology charts,
and Saturn’s Rings.

I wonder what happens,
when we leave this place,
how would we describe,
the Human Race?

If it’s a race for the finish,
where do we go?
Do we turn into nothing,
or does our Spirit Flow?

These are the questions,
that fascinate me,
no answer needed,
only CURIOSITY.

I wonder if our souls,
join with a group,
like a giant stellar family,
in a Cosmic Soup.

Or maybe its ashes to ashes,
dust to dust.
If that is the case,
then what’s the rush?

Maybe we fly,
into the sky,
a giant beam of light,
from way up high.

Who knows?
Certainly not me,
a fact that doesn’t stop,
CURIOSITY.

Maybe we change shapes,
or even species,
INTERGALACTIC APES,
with RAINBOW FECES.

Do we float?
How do we roll?
Is our body all we have,
or is there a SOUL?

I’m going to guess,
there is more to EXISTENCE,
than a sack of meat and bones,
with no SUBSISTENCE.

Maybe that’s the trick,
to this EXISTENCE,
to find a way to accept DEATH,
without RESISTANCE.

The Unknown,
that’s what creates the FEAR,
some try to solve it,
with a pile of Beer,
hide it in their mind,
until it disappears,
leave the thoughts behind,
until they’re in the rear.
I prefer to explore it,
like a PIONEER,
like I’m hunting thoughts,
with a THINKING SPEAR,
AIMING STRAIGHT UP,
at the PUPPETER,
that runs their society,
WITH THIS FEAR,
I throw up my thoughts,
as a volunteer,
that DEATH is just a trip,
to a new FRONTIER………..

I don’t actually have a clue,
just to be CLEAR,
But I had to write a POEM,
to welcome you HERE!

WELCOME
